Everett Fire was on scene of a working structure fire at Tri-plex residence in the 400 block of 45th St SW, near Elm Street, just West of Forest Park.
When the roof collapsed from the fire, crews switched from offensive to defensive operations.

Smoke could be seen from Mukilteo Blvd. The roadway was blocked in all directions by Everett Police Department.
Red Cross is assisting displaced residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Fire has was tapped at 3:07pm. Crews still addressing hotspots and in overhaul.
