We noticed the traffic to our article about Kevin Lewis getting life in prison spiked this weekend. Lewis is the center of the 4th episode of Netflix’s new show “Worst Ex Ever.”
Here’s Netflix’s description of their new hit docuseries, Worst Ex Ever:
From chilling betrayals to murder plots, this true-crime docuseries dissects the dark side of love through eyewitness testimonies.
Worst Ex Ever is currently the number one show on Netflix, and the 4th episode centers on Everett, WA.
The title of the episode is “Married to a Monster” and the description is:
“Amanda and Kevin’s seemingly perfect romance crumbles when marriage exposes his controlling nature. After their divorce, a chilling murder plot unfolds.”
The episode starts off with beautiful aerial shots of Everett, followed by Amanda’s experience with Kevin Lewis.
There are interviews with Amanda, her friends, her brother, her nanny, Kevin’s friend, and the prosecutors.
You’ll hear the 911 calls and Amanda’s story on how she had to live in hiding for a year after the attempted murder. We also find out how investigators were able to tie the pieces together to arrest everyone involved with the attempted murder and see the police interview of the killer.
Readers of My Everett News already know how this tragic murder for hire story turns out.
The dectives received a tip from “Angelica”, or Alexis Hale, was bragging about how she and her boyfriend, Jerradon Phelps, killed someone. Jerradon Phelps is Kevin Lewis’s cousin.
Detectives were able to track Snapchat videos from Angelica, and data from both of their phones showed their trip from Spokane to Everett, stopping at Kevin’s house before going to Amanda’s house. Neighborhood ring cameras and a security camera from MarijuanaClub99 on Evergreen Way also helped with the prosecution.
Those who discover this story via Netflix will be happy to know Kevin, his hired hitman, and female accomplice, were put behind bars. Kevin recently received life in prison after a Supreme Court ruling.
