Imagine Children’s Museum Celebrates 4 Millionth Visitor

The 4 millionth visitor to the Imagine Children’s Museum.

On Wednesday, August 28th, Imagine Children’s Museum was thrilled to announce an exciting milestone: they welcomed their 4 millionth visitor. To mark the significant achievement, the Children’s Museum held a spontaneous celebration.

When Aaron, the 4 millionth visitor, walked through the doors, he was greeted with a free lifetime membership to the museum and a goodie bag, symbolizing the museum’s appreciation for his role in this incredible milestone.

In addition, the 30-year old museum anticipated the milestone and was prepared to  host a “Million Bubble Salute” on their rooftop playground.

It was a 15-minute dance party where millions of bubbles cascaded from seven bubble machines, celebrating the achievement with the visitors.

“I love thinking about really big numbers, and when I found out we would welcome our 4 Millionth visitor to Imagine, I was blown away!” said Elizabeth (Elee) Wood, PhD, Chief Executive Officer at Imagine Children’s Museum. “Think about what that means—4 million pairs of hands and 4 million brains all having fun playing and learning about the world. That’s a lot of love over the last 30 years. Imagine what we can do with that!”

Aaron received a lifetime membership to the museum.

The one million mark was hit in 2010. The new milestone is another reason to celebrate the museum, which is fresh off celebrating a $250k grant, a new mural, and expansion in 2022.

During the bubble party, Elee added, “We are thrilled to have our 4 millionth visitor today! And even better, he came with a family friend group! And we have millions of bubbles here on the rooftop!”

Raelynne, mother of the group that included the 4 millionth visitor, shared her excitement: “This has been an awesome and fun day, and it turned extra fun!”

Clearly, with a state population of only 7.8 million, the “visitor” count includes repeat visits. In fact, this visit marked Aaron’s second trip to the museum, but one that will not soon be forgotten. Museum visitors joined in on the fun, dancing to the music and enjoying the bubbles that took over the rooftop.

The Imagine Children’s Museum is located at 1502 Wall St, Everett, WA in Downtown Everett.
