Sail-In Cinema at the Port of Everett Friday Nights

The Port of Everett’s FREE Sail-In Cinema, presented by PND Engineers, plays every Friday night through August at Boxcar Park.

Enjoy a movie outdoors on a 40-foot inflatable screen. Films include Family-friendly throwbacks, fan-favorite characters, a U.S. Navy tribute, and action-packed date night options.

Here’s the movie lineup:

The Boys in the Boat (PG-13), August 2 @ 8:55 pm

‘The Boys in the Boat’ by Daniel James Brown tells the true story of the University of Washington’s rowing team and their quest for gold at the 1936 Olympics.

The Parent Trap (1998) (PG), August 9 @ 8:45 pm

A remake of the 1961 film. This time the identical twins, Hallie and Annie, conspire to reunite their mom and dad who never should have been apart.

Devotion (PG-13), August 16 @ 8:35 pm

A pair of U.S. Navy fighter pilots risk their lives during the Korean War and become some of the Navy’s most celebrated wingmen.

Elemental (PG), August 23 @ 8:20 pm

Oscar-nominated animated film follows Ember and Wade, in a city where fire-, water-, earth- and air-residents live together.

Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom (PG-13), August 30 @ 8:10 pm

Black Manta seeks revenge on Aquaman for his father’s death. Wielding the Black Trident’s power, he becomes a formidable foe. To defend Atlantis, Aquaman forges an alliance with his imprisoned brother. They must protect the kingdom.

Boxcar Park opens one hour before showtime for moviegoers to snag their spot on the lawn, enjoy music and yard games, grab free fresh-popped popcorn and check out concessions available for purchase.

The Port of Everett recommends dressing in layers and packing a blanket as it gets chilly on the waterfront at night. To ensure the best viewing for all guests, please use blankets or low-back chairs for seating. Arrive early to get your spot on the lawn, play yard games, and enjoy the sunset from the Everett waterfront.

Boaters can also make a weekend out of it. They can boat into the Port of Everett Marina and moor at any of the Port’s Guest Docks. Grab dinner at one of our 12 waterfront restaurants, then head to Boxcar Park and enjoy the movie. Guest moorage is available on a first-come, first-served basis or by reservation via DockWA. Limited viewing is possible from North Guest Dock 7, but the viewing experience is best from the park.

In the event of inclement weather, a movie night could be canceled.
