Around 1:15 pm today, Snohomish County Sheriff deputies responded to reports of a stabbing in a parking lot at 148th Street SW and Hwy 99. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, a 15-year-old male, with a stab wound.
The victim was transported by aid to Providence Regional Medical Center. Shortly after, deputies located the suspect, a 32-year-old man, and took him into custody. The suspect is being booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Assault 1, 3 and 4.
During the investigation, deputies learned an altercation occurred on a bus between the suspect and the driver.
Two juveniles attempted to intervene at which time the suspect began a verbal altercation with the juveniles.
The parties exited the bus where the confrontation continued in a nearby parking lot and the 32-year-old suspect stabbed the 15-year-old victim.
This remains an active investigation.
