Delta Neighborhood Association’s Shakespeare in the Park will take place this Saturday, July 27th, at 6pm.
The tradition continues–this is the 4th annual showing. This year, Seattle Shakespeare will be performing The Two Gentleman of Verona.
Here’s a description of the play:
The Two Gentlemen of Verona is an early play in five acts by William Shakespeare. The play tells the story of two devoted friends, Valentine and Proteus.
Valentine leaves their home city of Verona for Milan, where he falls in love with Silvia. Proteus, in love with Julia, stays behind. Proteus’s father sends him to Milan, too.
Proteus pursues Silvia despite the fact he has a girlfriend at home. After an apology, Proteus and Valentine reconcile, Proteus loves Julia again, and both couples marry.
