Café Impromptu – Swing Jazz Concert with Special Guest Lisa Liu

Café Impromptu, a talented women’s acoustic ensemble, is set to bring the enchanting sounds of French café music, chanson, and Bossa Nova to life. This summer, they will be joined by special guest Lisa Liu, a guitarist known for her global performances and captivating style. Enjoy an afternoon of delightful melodies and swinging jazz that will transport you to the charming streets of Paris. For all ages.


Gretchen Yanover – Electric Cello Concert


Saturday, August 3, 2024, 1-2 p.m.
Main Library Auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Ave.

Gretchen Yanover, a distinguished electric cellist, performs throughout the Pacific Northwest as a soloist and has been a member of Northwest Sinfonietta orchestra since 1998. Her electric cello performances are known for their emotional depth and innovative style. Through her work on the Northwest Sinfonietta’s DEI task force, she is making meaningful changes in classical music culture and creating connections in the community. For all ages.

Mariachi Mi Tierra Concert

Evergreen Branch, 9512 Evergreen Way

Celebrate the end of summer with the vibrant and soulful sounds of Mariachi Mi Tierra. This energetic quintet brings the rich tradition of Mexican folk music to life with a dynamic blend of brass and string instruments, coupled with distinctive vocal harmonies. Their performance promises to be an exhilarating experience that will not only move your heart but also get you moving to the rhythm! For all ages.
