Granite Falls Woman Suspected of Shooting Her Husband

The shooting took place about a half mile southeast of the Blue Bridge in Granite Falls.

Around 7:20 pm on Tuesday, Snohomish County Sheriff patrol deputies were dispatched to the 35000 block of the Mountain Loop Highway to respond to a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, a 43-year-old man, with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was transported by aid to Providence Regional Medical Center. He is expected to survive his injuries.

During the initial investigation, a 46-year-old Granite Falls woman, that lives with the victim, was taken into custody for Assault First Degree Domestic Violence. Detectives learned there was an argument leading up to the shooting. 

There is currently no danger to the public as the scene was quickly contained by Deputies and all involved have been accounted for.

The location of the shooting is about a half mile southeast of the Blue Bridge on the Mountain Loop Highway.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
