Less Than 10 Hours To Go Until 1300 Nurses Go On Strike In Everett, Washington
A lighted nurse’s strike countdown down sign is displayed on the south side of Providence Colby Campus Monday night in Everett, Washington.
In a very large visual reminder, a lighted countdown has been displayed on the south side of Providence Regional Medical each night for the last week.
Tonight the count is down to one day and Tuesday morning at 6:00 AM 1300 nurses will go on strike outside both the Colby and Pacific campuses of Providence Everett.
The picketing will happen 24-hours-a-day until 6:00 AM Sunday the 19th.
On Monday November 6th the nurses, who are members of UFCW Local 3000, explained their reasons for striking and Providence management issued a rebuttal and said they have been preparing for this event. You can see our coverage of that day’s events here.
