If you’d like a chance to ask a question or simply hear from one of the candidates for office in Everett, Washington on the November 7th ballot there’s a forum happening Monday night. Here’s the scoop.

The Everett Council of Neighborhoods is sponsoring a Candidate Forum on Monday, October 16, 6:30-8:30pm in the Weyerhaeuser Room at Everett Transit Station. Moderated by the League of Women Voters of Snohomish County, this event will give Everett residents an opportunity to meet candidates for Everett City Council, Everett School Board, and Snohomish County Sheriff and hear their priorities and vision for the future. Port of Everett candidates have also been invited.

On-site questions will be solicited in writing and vetted by the moderators. In addition, there will be a short meet-and-greet after the forum where attendees can ask questions of the candidates, face-to-face.

The Everett Council of Neighborhoods was created by City ordinance in 1990 and is made up of volunteer representatives from all active neighborhoods. Each neighborhood association elects or selects its representatives: two regular representatives and one alternate representative. Contact your neighborhood leader to get involved.
