100 years later and today another ribbon is being cut to celebrate a special moment at the Historic Weyerhaeuser Building in Everett, Washington.
In its 100 year history there have been a number of ribbon cuttings at what is known as the Weyerhaeuser Building in Everett, Washington.
From when it first opened in 1923 at Weyerhaeuser’s Mill A, fifteen years later after it moved to Mill B, another in the mid-1980s when it moved to West Marine View Drive and was opened as the office of the then Everett Chamber of Commerce and finally another ribbon cutting today as it officially becomes home to the Muse Whiskey & Coffee.
Envisioned by Jack Ng and Jin Ma of the NGMA Group, the Muse Whiskey & Coffee is made up of multiple spaces under the roof of a unique one and-a-half story – 6000 square foot building. There is the Coffee Bar, the Speakeasy, Whiskey Bar, four sitting rooms, office and conference rooms, meeting space and an outdoor stage.
The Weyerhaeuser Company’s massive safe which once held gold, silver and stacks of cash, has now been converted to “The Vault” which contains a series of wine lockers where members of the Muse Wine Club can store their personal bottles in their own private lockers.
The Muse Whiskey & Coffee is open seven days a week. The classic coffee bar is open 7am – 4pm. For evening drinks and bites they are open Sunday – Thursday 4pm – 10pm, Friday & Saturday 4pm – 11pm. Inquire with them about weddings, private parties and special events.
The building has been restored to the specific standards of the National Historic Register. For more about The Muse visit their website here.
