Inmate Who Brought Fentanyl Into Sno Co Jail Not One Of 7 Who Overdosed

Editor’s Update 9:30 AM:The inmate suspected of bringing Fentanyl into the Snohomish County Jail is scheduled to make a Probable Cause appearance this afternoon in Everett District Court. According to Probable Cause documents a detective wrote that grains of a substance that field tested positive for Fentanyl were found on separate pieces of court paperwork in the cell of the suspect. The suspect’s name was also allegedly on those papers.

Editor’s Update 8:45 AM:Word in this morning from Lt. Tom Morris from the Office of Professional Accountability with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office that charges are being referred against an inmate who was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on Tuesday. Here’s the information provided this morning.

Jail

A total of 7 inmates were transported. All have been returned back to the jail.

Two charges were referred on a male inmate for possession of a controlled substance inside a correctional facility. The inmate is a 37 year old from Arlington and was booked into jail on May 16, 2023 for Theft 3 warrants stemming from Arlington PD investigations. Drug task force detectives are still engaged in an ongoing investigation to determine what additional charges may be referred. All 7 inmates have since returned to the Snohomish County Jail. The male suspected of introducing the substance to the jail was not among the 7 inmates who were transported in response to this incident.
