Everett Police Investigating As Two In Car Sent To Hospital After Drive-By Shooting Friday Night – Home Also Struck By Bullet

Everett Fire crews transported two people to the hospital Friday night.

Several shell casings were recovered on Colby between 46th and 50th streets.

Police were kept busy Friday night after two separate reports of gunfire in different areas of Everett, Washington.

In the first case, around 10:15 PM officers received reports of gun shots heard in the area of the YMCA in the 4700 block of Colby Avenue in central Everett.

A few minutes later Sno911 received a call from someone who reported they’d been hit by gunfire and were parked in the area of Madison and Evergreen Way asking for assistance.

When Everett Police arrived they found a vehicle with multiple bullet holes and the two people inside injured. Medics from Everett Fire were summoned and both people were transported to the hospital. As of this writing the condition of the two was not known.

Meanwhile other officers blocked off Colby Avenue between 46th and 50th. Multiple shell casings were recovered in the area and at least one home was apparently struck by gunfire. No one in that home was reported to be injured. Colby was closed for about an hour for that investigation.

In the second case, gunfire was reported in the area of the 2600 block of Colby in downtown Everett around 12:30 AM. Officers scoured the area and found multiple shell casings. No victim was located.

Detectives are working on follow-up in both cases. No arrests have been announced as of this writing.
