In past years the crowd along Colby for the 4th of July parade ran 3 to 4 deep.
Word in that there will be a 4th of July Parade in Everett, Washington this year. For the last couple of years a committee of enthusiastic Everett residents has been working on bringing back the Everett 4th of July parade.
The Parade fell victim to the Pandemic and while city sponsored 4th of July events happened at Legion Park and at the waterfront last year, the City of Everett decided they did not have the resources to continue the parade.
That’s when a group of citizens and business leaders started looking at bringing the 4th of July Parade back to downtown. They came close last year but fell short of their organizing goals so decided to focus on this year.
This week they announced the 4th of July parade will happen but are still looking for entrants, volunteers and sponsors. There are a variety of ways to help.
