A wild scene Saturday night as a suspect in a domestic violence assault with a weapon crashed while trying to flee from Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputies in south Everett, Washington.

Around 6:00 PM a woman called Sno911 and reported her ex had pointed a gun at her and was following the transit bus she was on travelling south on Evergreen Way in central Everett. A Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputy who was working a transit unit saw the bus and the suspect vehicle near Casino Road and Evergreen Way.

The Deputy contacted the victim on the bus and confirmed probable cause for second degree assault with a weapon. The suspect was spotted driving around the bus stop and into a parking lot.

Additional Deputies responded and spotted the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop the car which headed west on Casino Road from Evergreen Way.

After confirming probable cause for felony assault with a weapon, a Deputy received supervisor’s approval to pursue the suspect.

The suspect did not stop for the Deputy and continued west until crashing near 11th and West Casino Road.

The suspect vehicle was a silver Mercedes Benz which struck a van and ended up stuck on communications equipment and guy wires for a power pole.

The suspect was taken into custody by SCSO Deputies and Everett Police and a handgun was recovered at the scene.

The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on multiple felonies and is expected to make a court appearance on Monday.
