Everett Fire

Everett Firefighters were able to limit the damage to a home in north Everett, Washington Friday afternoon after a chimney fire began spreading.

Crews were dispatched to a home in the 600 block of Hoyt Avenue around 2:20 PM after a report of smoke and flames from a chimney were spotted.

The first engine in reported smoke and flame around the chimney of the home. The fire spread to part of the roofing material around the chimney but Everett Firefighters were able to limit the damage to a relatively small area.

An investigator was called to the scene to determine the cause but the good news is the damage was not extensive and the people living in the home will not have to relocate.

There were no injuries.

Here are a few photos from the scene.
