Everett PD Says Valentine’s Road Rage Suspect Bashes Windows, Gets Shot, Arrested

Everett Police say a man who was shot during an altercation on West Marine View Drive in Everett, Washington Tuesday night was arrested for second degree assault and malicious mischief. Here’s the update following an inquiry by MyEverettNews.com.

Everett officers respond to a road rage incident involving gunfire.

On February 14, 2023 at approximately 1900, Everett police officers were dispatched to a report of a male bashing in an occupied vehicle’s windows near the intersection of 18th St and W Marine View Dr.

When officers arrived at the location, two persons, a male in his 50s and female in her 70s, explained that they were waiting on W Marine View Drive to turn onto 18th St when a man emerged from the vehicle behind them and began to break in their windows with a blunt object.

As a result of the escalating dispute, 3 shots were fired from a handgun within the damaged vehicle, and the male breaking the vehicle’s windows was struck in the arm. He was driven to Providence Hospital by an additional passenger in his vehicle, where he was treated for his injuries.

The male subject was located by officers at Providence Hospital and later booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Assault 2 and Malicious Mischief 2.
