EPD Investigating Attempted ATM Theft At Silver Lake Key Bank

The ATM was heavily damaged.

They apparently tried to pull the ATM out through this garden.

The truck was found abandoned, with a large chain attached.

Early Sunday morning police in Everett, Washington were investigating an apparent attempted theft of an ATM at the Key Bank Branch at 110th and 19th Avenue SE.

Shortly after 4:00 AM Everett Police were called after reports of people in a truck trying to take the ATM from the drive-thru.

Officers arrived on scene to find the ATM still there but severely damaged.

About a half mile away east on 110th, officers located an abandoned pickup in the street.

The doors were open, the truck running, and it was trailing a large chain from the rear hitch.

A K-9 and drone checked the area but as of this writing no suspects had been located.

Officers were working on gathering evidence and looking for video.

The truck was reported to have been stolen.
