Everett, Everett Economy

With the recent retirement of the 747 and addition of 737 line the murals at the Everett Factory are gonna need a refresh.

Today the Boeing Company confirmed that they will be starting a 737 line at the Everett factory where the 787 was formally assembled. Here’s an email sent to MyEverettNews.com confirming what aerospace reporters and politicians had been saying this morning.

“Boeing will establish a fourth 737 MAX production line in Everett beginning in the second half of 2024. Demand for the 737 MAX, especially newer models like the 737-8-200 and 737-10, continues to rise, and adding production capacity will allow us to better meet the needs of our customers. The new line will increase 737 MAX production capacity by 25%. Given the proximity to our 737 factory in Renton, Everett is a great fit with the availability of highly skilled workers and factory space.”

“Additional information: The fourth 737 line will be in Boeing’s Everett factory where 787 join verification work is now occurring. This 787 work will continue in Everett, including in former 747 bays.”
