Today Everett Police say a man in custody for a shooting outside the Everett Gospel Mission on December 15th is also a suspect in a shooting at an apartment complex on Casino Road the day before.

There were four separate shootings in a 24-hour-period in mid-December and this information links the suspect to two of those.

Here’s the information provided this afternoon by Everett Police Public Information Officer Ora Hamel.

Major Crimes Unit detectives have developed probable cause to charge a male with the shooting which occurred in the late afternoon on December 14, 2022 in the 200 block of West Casino Rd.

The suspect has been in custody since an arrest back on December 15, 2022, when he was arrested for Assault 1, Attempted Assault 1 and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1, in connection with the shooting in the 3700 block of Smith Ave.

Since the shooting on W Casino Rd, Major Crimes detectives have worked tirelessly to identify the suspect in this incident. Detectives used witness statements, video footage, and other evidence to successfully identify the suspect and a vehicle used by the suspect. As a result of their investigation, detectives have gathered probable cause to charge the male with an additional charge of Assault 1 and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1.

The suspect will remain at Snohomish County Jail where he is currently booked.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Everett Police Department TIP LINE at (425) 257-8450 or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS.
