Police Pursuit After Bothell Police Car Rammed Ends In South Everett

January 8, 2023

Everett, Police Blotter

All lanes of 19th Avenue SE south of Burley Drive were shut down.

There were about a dozen police vehicles at the scene.

Bothell Police took the driver into custody.

A Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputy used a PIT maneuver to spin out the suspect’s car which was then blocked in.

A pursuit by Bothell Police of a car that reportedly rammed a Bothell Police vehicle went from I 405 north in Bothell to Highway 99 in unincorporated Snohomish County and then north into the Everett, Washington city limits Sunday afternoon.

From Evergreen Way to eastbound SR 526 and onto 19th Ave SE the chase involved Bothell Police and later the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department.

The pursuit ended after a Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputy performed a PIT maneuver and caused the vehicle to spin out in the 9600 block of 19th SE in front of the EconoLodge where it was surrounded by a number of law enforcement vehicles.

19th Ave SE was shut down in both directions for about 45 minutes between 96th street SE and Burley Drive while the driver and a passenger in the vehicle were taken into custody.

Everett Police were not involved in the chase and provided traffic control and assistance while the suspect at the scene.

We’ve got a message in with Bothell Police to find out what occurred prior to their officer’s vehicle being rammed and to check on the condition of their officer.

We will update as information is received.
