Editor’s Update 12/30/2022 8:00 PM: The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Officer released the following information today.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed the examination and confirmed the identification of the 37-year-old male who was involved in a pedestrian versus motor vehicle collision near the 8600 block of Evergreen Way in Everett, Washington on December 25th, 2022. The decedent is Kyle R. Reed of Lewis County. The cause of death is blunt force injuries. The manner of death is Accident.
All northbound lanes in the 8600 block of Evergreen Way were shut down as Everett Police investigated.
Everett Police located a vehicle nearby with extensive front end damage.
Arriving officers found a person down in the roadway and began life saving measures.
Medics with Everett Fire transported the person to Providence Regional Medical Center.
The person was unable to be resuscitated and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Everett Police located a car with extensive front end damage in the parking lot of a business in the 8500 block of Evergreen Way.
As of this writing the investigation was just getting underway.
