Everett Police Make Arrest In Weekend Shooting Near Silver Lake

Editor’s Update Tuesday 12-20-2022 3:30 PM:This afternoon an Everett District Court Judge found probable cause to hold the suspect on $750,000.00 bail. According to police reports filed with the court the suspect first saw the victim in the restroom at the bar and allegedly threatened him with a gun. The victim and another person left and began driving away when the suspect exited the bar and began shooting at them. The victim was hit and driven to the Swedish Mill Creek E.R. Everett Police arrested the suspect on Monday morning when he went to check in with his parole officer at the Department of Corrections on Evergreen Way in Everett. Snohomish County Prosecutors now have three days to file charges or the suspect will be released.

Word in from Everett Police that a suspect has been booked into the Snohomish County Jail on multiple felony charges including 1st degree assault in relation to a shooting early Saturday morning.

Here is the press release from E.P.D Public Information Officer Ora Hamel. The suspect is expected to make an initial court appearance for a probable cause hearing tomorrow, and we should get more information about this particular shooting at that time. The victim is expected to recover from his injuries.

The Everett Police Department has made an arrest in the shooting at Player’s Bar, 10730 19th Ave SE, which resulted in injuries to a male in his 20’s.

In the early morning hours of December 17, 2022, EPD officers were dispatched to the above location for reports of shots heard.

Shortly after, a male went into the emergency room at a local hospital with gunshot wounds that he told hospital staff occurred at Player’s Bar.

Through investigation, EPD patrol officers were able to establish probable cause for the suspect, a male in his 20’s. Today, he was arrested by members of our Violent Crime Reduction Unit (VCRU) in the 8600 block of Evergreen Way.
