Quick work by Everett Firefighters kept an exterior fire from doing major damage to a commercial strip mall in the 8400 block of Evergreen Way early Tuesday morning. Here’s an update from Everett Fire.
At approximately 2:30 A.M., Everett Fire responded to a report of a commercial fire on the back side of a three-occupancy strip mall at 8417 Evergreen Way, behind Panda
Express and Wingstop.
Upon arrival, crews found an exterior fire and quickly extinguished it before it extended into the inside of the structure. There were no injuries.
The fire is believed to have started under a small awning/overhang-type structure used during business hours by employees to shelter their bicycles.
The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation.
