Stuffington’s Pumpkin Painting With Everett Police A Hit Today

The event was advertised in store and on social media.

More than six dozen kids and parents spent time painting pumpkins and visiting Everett Police at Stuffington’s Ceramics and More across from Silver Lake in south Everett today.

Owner Claire Bruining came up with the idea after talking to a neighbor about finding a positive way to get kids and community to interact with police officers in Everett, Washington. After an inquiry she was put in touch with a police officer at the south Everett precinct who was able to set up the event with her.

Advertising on social media for advance reservations led to a packed house and a lot of fun for both the Everett Police officers and kids in attendance with their families.

Stuffington’s plans to have more events like this in the future. Here are a few photos of today’s fun. Click photo to enlarge.
