Search On For Suspects As Two Dead From Separate Shootings During Weekend Of Gun Violence In Everett

A Monday follow up on a violent weekend in Everett, Washington. Still not a lot of details as investigations are ongoing but we we checked with Everett Police Officer Ora Hamel on the status of the following stories we covered this weekend.

A K-9 unit begins a suspect search.

The man shot at the convenience store Friday night in the 11800 block of Evergreen Way has died.

Sno911 received calls of a reported shooting about 10:20 PM. Everett Police and Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputies responded.

Arriving officers found a person at the convenience store at that location who had been shot and began administering aid.

Medics were called and the person was transported to the hospital. A K-9 unit attempted a suspect track but no suspects were located.

The store is in the Everett city limits so Everett Police Major Crime Detectives are handling the follow-up investigation.
 

After the scene is secure officers wait for Major Crimes Detectives.

A man was shot to death at a residence in the 3200 block of Wetmore in downtown Everett Sunday morning.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting around 7:20 AM.

Arriving Everett Police officers found one victim who had been shot and began emergency first aid.

Medics were called but the person was pronounced dead at the scene. Major Crimes detectives spent most of Sunday processing the scene.
 
In both cases the Snohomish County Medical Examiner will announce the identification of the victims and provide official cause and manner of death.

Everett Police ask anyone with information on either murder to call their tip line at (425) 257-8450.
 

41st street was closed for hours as officers investigated.

One other note, the investigation continues into a collision involving a car and pedestrian that happened shortly after 6:00 PM near 41st and Hoyt Sunday night.

41st was shut down in both directions for a couple of hours.

Last word from Everett Police is the pedestrian is in critical condition and the driver of the vehicle involved was talking with police.
