Everett Fire

The fire moved up a hill near the interurban trail.

An initial response from the crew at Station 5.

Quick work by Everett Firefighters kept a fast-moving brush fire from reaching structures Monday afternoon.

Smoke could be seen for blocks at the fire along the Interurban Trail north of the Lowell substation in about the 2200 block of Lowell Road.

An initial brush fire response was upgraded shortly after 5:30 PM to add more engines to the fight as flames moved up the hill toward Firland Place.

Flames got within a few feet of one building as Everett Firefighters gained the upper hand and prevented any property damage. No word yet on how the fire started. Here are some photos of the crews at work.
