Art Walk Thursday Kicking Off Big Weekend Of Creative Culture In Everett

More and more creative events are happening in Everett, Washington and this weekend there are several of note.

Everett Art Walk happens on the third Thursday of every month from 5 – 9 PM in the downtown core of Everett.

It’s a free event highlighting multiple artists and different styles of artwork.

Nine different venues are on the map for this month.

At the foot of the Grand Avenue Park Bridge at Port Gardner Landing.

Thursday night marks the final Music at the Marina concert of the summer series at the Port of Everett.

The featured band is The Little Lies who do a tribute to Fleetwood Mac

Artistry abounds with the various vendors from the Everett Makers Market who will be onsite along with Food Trucks and a beer garden.

Venue opens at 5:00 PM with the music starting at 6:30 PM.

Saturday and Sunday the Fresh Paint Festival of Artists at Work will be in downtown Everett along Hoyt right in front of the Schack Art Center.

For years the festival had been down at Marina Village at the Everett waterfront but this year it comes to downtown.

Why was Fresh Paint moved to Downtown Everett?

This year, we decided to move Fresh Paint to Downtown Everett, to make it easier for our artists and guests to access the event. As a Schack Art Center event, we also felt it was important to have our facility be the central hub of this year’s festival.

Who created the poster for Fresh Paint 2022?

The 2022 Poster Art was created by Sierra Rozario sierrarozario.com.

How many artists are at Fresh Paint?

There are more than 100 Artists participating in this year’s event.

What about Float Find?

With Fresh Paint making its way to Downtown Everett in 2022, we’re bringing the Float Find to the streets of Everett too!

100 Schack Floats are up for grabs and this year you’ll have the opportunity to increase your chances of winning by participating in our Float Find Raffle Challenges leading up to Fresh Paint.

Everett Uncorked comes to the Port of Everett Saturday August 22nd featuring a street fair, wine tastings, live music and more.

Here are the details.

Everett Uncorked is Washington’s newest summer wine festival. Taking place Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the scenic Port of Everett Marina & Waterfront Place (1524 W Marine View Drive), the festival celebrates world-class Washington wineries and is a fundraiser to support local youth boating programs.

The festival is split into two parts, a 21+ Tasting Garden and an all ages Street Fair. The Tasting Garden features wine tasting of 40+ Washington wine varietals. The Street Fair features live music, craft shopping, and more.

About Our Beneficiary

Everett Uncorked is a benefit for Youth Boating Programs supported by the Northwest Marine Trade Association (NMTA). NMTA’s mission is to grow recreational boating throughout the region. Youth boating programs are supported through grants issued by NMTA to clubs, organizations and non-profits that introduce youth via sailing, fishing, watersports and more.

Evergreen Arboretum

Carving Soapstone Animals – Two 90-Minute Workshops will be held at the Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens at Legion Park, 145 Alverson BoulevardEverett, WA, 98201

$30 materials fee – Pre-registration required. 12-15 participants per session. Adults bringing children 12 and under are encouraged to stay with them during the workshop.

These two fun summer workshops, both on August 20th, will teach youth, 8 years and older, how to carve animal shapes from soapstone. Members of the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association (NWSSA) will show each participant how to file stone and create a unique sculpture.

Workshop #1 is 10 AM – 11:30 AM and Workshop #2 is scheduled for 1 PM – 2:30 PM. Both workshops will be held outside in the upper parking lot of Evergreen Arboretum Classroom 105, so dress for the weather. Wear a mask and clothes that can get dirty. Tools are simple and safe, and all supplies are included.

This event is sponsored by the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association as part of the Sculpture Walk event at Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens and Schack Art Center’s Fresh Paint weekend.
