Colton Bailey started Ready Removal in Everett when he was 19.

Nine years later the business is going strong.

In addition to junk removal they also offer demolition and haul away service.

When Colton Bailey was 19 years old he had a kiddo, knew he didn’t want to work for anyone else, had his old Pathfinder from high school and a thousand bucks.

He bought a hitch, got a trailer, put wood walls on it and started Ready Removal in Everett, Washington.

He began his one-man operation by offering three services. Junk removal, garage organizing and scooping poop.

Nine years later and he’s got a bigger truck, bigger trailer and an excavator.

Ready Removal offers demolition, excavation, hoarder and property cleanouts, whole house demos and more.

“We’re still a small company,” Colton told me. “That keeps me flexible and I’m able to respond to people quickly, work with people on pricing and offer fast turn-around.”

Colton says they try to upcycle a lot of the items they come across in move-outs, demolitions and hoarder houses. Electronics are recycled and items donated to charity or sold and re-sold.

I asked him if there were any unusual finds he’s come across and he mentioned a woman had a phonograph from the late 1800s she was just going to throw out.

Ready Removal works with furniture stores and real estate agents who have clients with old furniture that they are replacing or need gone before a sale. They also work with the County’s civil unit on removing property from evictions.

If you’re interested in having junk removed or a property cleaned out the process is simple. Take some photos of the items or area and send them via text to Colton at (425) 446-1992. Their quotes are based on the size and weight of the items to be removed.

You can learn more about the business on their website. They also have lots of before and after pictures of their work on their Facebook page.

You can also call Colton personally at (425) 446-1992.
