Serious Injury Crash Shuts Down Evergreen Way In Morning Commute

Editor’s Update 3:00 PM: Everett Police Public Information Officer Kerby Duncan tells MyEverettNews.com the crash happened about 5:45 AM when a Honda passenger car travelling northbound on Highway tried to take a left turn into the Wal-Mart and collided with a truck headed southbound. The Honda driver, a man in his 50s was transported to the Hospital with life-threatening injuries, the truck driver was also taken by medic unit to the hospital. He was a man in his 30s. Traffic Detectives continue to investigate. The southbound lanes were closed for about four hours while traffic safety detectives worked the scene.

Two people were taken by medic units from the Everett Fire Department with life-threatening injuries following a crash this morning that shut down the southbound lanes of Evergreen Way.

The crash happened at the south entrance to WalMart in the 11600 block around 6 AM.

At this writing all southbound lanes are diverted at 112th and Evergreen Way while detectives with the Everett Police Traffic Safety Unit investigate.

No word on when the lanes will reopen.
