Baywood Nature Trail Offers Great Views Of North End Of Jetty Island And Snohomish River Into Port Gardner Bay

The trail wraps around a new warehouse and connects to the Mill Town Trail along the Everett waterfront.
The Baywood Nature Trail formally opened to the public today at the Port of Everett.
The path wraps around a large warehouse building at the north end of the Port of Everett waterfront.
Like at Riverside Business Park there is some dedicated parking for people using the trail. You’ll find that on the northwest side of the warehouse. Here are some photos taken Monday afternoon when the tide was out. Click photo to enlarge.

You can step off the Mill Town Trail to walk the Baywood.

The path is bordered on the south end by the former Nord Door plant.

Tide was out but there is a lot of area for habitat.

There are some osprey nests in the pilings and you can see the north tip of the Jetty.

You can see where the Snohomish River meets Port Gardner Bay.

Mount Baker rises in the northern background.

There is dedicated trail parking on the northwest side of the building.

It took a major clean up to get to this point.

In 1977 this was one of many mills along the Everett waterfront.
