Everett Fire

Editor’s Update Monday 7-18-22 9:45 AM: Everett Fire reported today a Fire Inspector responded to the scene and found ashes from a previous evening’s BBQ and
fire pit were improperly disposed of near the structure, causing the structure to catch fire. Damages to the structure and contents of the garage are estimated at $120K.

Just before 4:00 PM Everett Firefighters were called to the 2400 block of Columbia in central Everett to reports of smoke and flames coming from a large garage-shed behind a home.

Smoke could be seen from several blocks away.

Neighbors were using garden hoses to try and keep the fire under control and stop it from spreading to an outbuilding on a neighboring property.

Engine 5 was first on scene and got a good knock down on the fire.

Crews were able to contain the blaze to the shed and keep it from any other structures.

An investigator with Everett Fire is on the scene working to determine a cause. There were no injuries.

Here are a few photos from the scene.
