Police Blotter

5:00 PM Update: Just under 100 PUD customers still without power. Tow truck is on scene but PUD crews will be working for hours to replace the pole and Everett Fire put the ETA to open the road at 10:30 PM.

This happened just after 1 PM.

A car into a pole took down wires and cut power to about 600 Snohomish PUD customers Monday afternoon.

Just after 1 PM a call came in about a car into a power pole with lines down in the 12400 block of 19th Ave. SE. There were no injuries but the roadway had to be completely shut down in both directions.

Initially about 600 Snohomish PUD customers lost power. After about an hour and a half that number was down to 150.

Everett City Public Works crews have put up barricades and 19th SE is expected to be closed in that area well into the afternoon commute.

No official word yet on the cause of the crash.
