House Fire In North Everett + McDonalds Kitchen Fire In South, Keep Everett Firefighters Busy

A busy Saturday evening for Everett firefighters with a house fire in the 2300 block of Harrison Street and a fire at the McDonalds at 79th and Evergreen Way.

Five people are being assisted by the American Red Cross following a fire in a home in the 2300 block of Harrison Street in north Everett.

Flames were reported coming from a second-floor window just after 7 PM. The first arriving engine made a fast attack on the fire.

Additional crews arrived and the fire was contained to the upper level. The were no injuries to residents or firefighters but two pets in the home were found deceased.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

At about 8:15 PM an Everett Police officer was flagged down at the McDonalds at 79th and Evergreen Way.

Heavy smoke was coming out the back door of the restaurant from a fire in the kitchen.

All of the customers and employees were safely evacuated.

There were no injuries, but the kitchen suffered smoke and water damage and the restaurant is closed.

At this writing an investigator is on scene working to determine the cause of that fire.
