Over the years there have been multiple incidents involving pedestrians in this area.
At about 10:30 last night a male in his late teens was driving a Dodge Durango Southbound on Evergreen in the center lane. Immediately after crossing Pecks Dr a male in his 60s stepped into the roadway and was struck and killed by the driver of the Durango.
The driver stayed on scene and was cooperative with police, there were no signs of impairment. At this time the driver is not facing any criminal charges.
The incident happened around 10:45 PM.
Everett Police have shut down Evergreen Way in both directions at Pecks Drive following a fatal incident involving a pedestrian and at least one vehicle.
It happened shortly around 10:45 PM.
No details at this time as the investigation is just getting underway. The road will likely be closed for a couple of hours.
