Everett Firefighters Keep Blaze In Attached Shop From Extending To House

Firefighters get the shop open to vent the smoke.

Smoke comes from the back side of the home.
Just after 5 PM Everett Firefighters were called to the 500 block of 72nd street SE to a report of a fire in an attached building.
On arrival, fire crews found smoke pouring from the building at the back of the house as well as the open front door and windows of the house itself.
Firefighters were able to locate fire in the attached building and while there was smoke throughout the house there did not appear to be major damage.
An investigator with the Everett Fire Department was called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
There were no injuries.
