About 4:45 PM Sunday afternoon Firefighters from Everett Fire and South County Fire responded to the Burger King in the 8500 block of Evergreen Way in south Everett to reports of a commercial fire.
Crews found a fire that looked to be in the ductwork above the grill. The hood system appeared to get most of the fire contained but there was concern about fire getting into the ductwork, so crews stayed on scene making sure there was no extension.
There were no injuries, but the restaurant did have to close.
