The Everett Public Library is teaming with Sharing Wheels to host a bike repair clinic at the south Everett library branch in May, June and July. Here’s more.

The Everett Public Library, in partnership with Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop, is proud to announce a new monthly bike repair clinic running May through July. Bring your bicycle for free repairs every second Tuesday starting May 10 between 3 and 6 p.m. at the Evergreen Branch, 9512 Evergreen Way.

Volunteer bike mechanics from Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop will be on site to repair participants’ bikes or help them do their own basic repairs. Using Sharing Wheel’s mobile bike repair station, volunteers can assist with a wide variety of basic bicycle repair issues.

The bike clinic is part of a coordinated effort to meet people (and their bikes) where they are at. Sharing Wheels helps keep people and bikes moving by providing access to bike-repair education, information, advice and tools.

This program is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is not required. Call 425-257-8000 for more information about this or other library programs and services.

Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop is a non-profit organization located in Everett, WA. Started in 2002 by a small band of bike enthusiasts, Sharing Wheels has provided refurbished used bicycles to thousands of adults and children through programs and bike sales.

Everett Public Library was founded in 1894 by the Everett Woman’s Book Club. The historic Main Library was built in 1934 by architect Carl Gould, and the Evergreen Branch opened in 1985. The library’s two branches serve the residents of the City of Everett and nearby locales, circulating over 400,000 items per year and hosting hundreds of programs for children and adults.
