Man Overboard Call Sends Rescue Response To Everett Waterfront

Marine 1 heads out with medics and rescue swimmers.

Boats in the area where the person was reported in the water.

Marine 1 returns to the dock with the patient.

The patient is transferred to a stretcher on the dock.

The patient is taken to the Medic Unit for transport to the hospital.

Marine 1 heads back to the boathouse.

Around 10:45 AM Saturday morning Everett Police and Firefighters were called to a report of a person in their 70s overboard from a boat into Port Gardner Bay west of Jetty Island.

Everett Police launched Marine 2, and Everett Fire responded on Marine 1.

Ladder 1 was deployed to the 10th street boat launch and put up their arial to get a view of the area where the person was reported to be in the water.

Everett Police launched a drone, flying it out to the area to be searched.

A boat from the Coast Guard Auxiliary responded and was able to get the person out of the water.

Marine 1 picked up the person and brought them to the dock at the South Marina and Medic 1 transported the person to Providence Regional Medical Center.

As of this writing there was no word on the condition of the person.
