Not Guilty Plea Entered In Murder Of Everett PD Officer Dan Rocha

Trail is set for May but will likely be pushed further back.

While he gave an initial indication that he would plead guilty during a hearing on April 19th, today the man charged with killing Everett Police Officer Dan Rocha on March 25 pleaded not guilty to:

  • Aggravated First-Degree Murder with a firearm
  • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in the second degree
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to Manufacture or Deliver- Firearm Allegation
  • The judge set a trial date for May but that will likely be pushed out if the defense goes through with requests for a mental health evaluation and competency hearing.

    100% of the funds will honor Officer Rocha who was killed in the line of duty on March 25, 2022 in Everett, WA and support the family. The fund was created in partnership with Victim Support Services, Coastal Community Bank and the City of Everett. Click photo to make an online donation.
