There have been drills this week at Naval Station Everett and tomorrow the Everett Fire Department wanted to alert you to the following information.
Fire crews drilling at Naval Station Everett Wednesday.
Everett Fire and fire agencies from other jurisdictions will be participating in Naval Station Everett’s exercise tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Do not be alarmed if you see a number of fire apparatus from multiple jurisdictions down at the waterfront, it’s only a drill.
Additionally, you may see some theatrical smoke coming from the area. Service to our community will not be impacted.
As per Naval Station Everett, you may expect:
– Gate closures for 5-10 minute periods
– Mass warning announcements
– Active emergency response vehicles and fire trucks around the base
– Blank rounds simulating gunfire
– Boat activity in the harbor
We appreciate the training opportunities with our partners so that we are better prepared should there be a real emergency.
