Tragic Day Involving Two Different Toddlers In Everett

Police and Firefighters in Everett, Washington were dealing with two separate tragic incidents involving toddlers Friday afternoon.

Investigators and patrol officers with Everett Police work on the investigation at 112th and 19th SE.

In the first incident Everett Police Public Information Officer Kerby Duncan tells MyEverettNews.com around 4:30 PM a vehicle was travelling southbound on 19th Avenue SE just south of 112th street when a two-year old came out of the vehicle and landed on the ground. The child was struck by the following vehicle and was fatally injured.

Traffic Safety Detectives with Everett Police were called out to investigate. 19th SE was closed for about an hour and a half for the investigation. Both the vehicle the child came out of, and the following vehicle remained on scene with drivers cooperating with Everett Police.

The toddler fell from a second story window.

In the other incident, around 5:45 PM a child under five years old fell out of a second story window of an apartment in the 5700 block of Highway Place in central Everett. Everett Fire and Medic crews responded and rushed the child to Providence Regional Medical Center. As of this writing no word on the condition of the child or the circumstances of the child’s fall were available.
