Procession Route Set For Officer Rocha’s Memorial For Monday Morning Through Everett

Information is coming in about the Memorial Service for Officer Dan Rocha. Prior to the 1 PM service at Angel of the Winds Arena in downtown Everett, Washington there will be a procession that begins around 11 AM at West Mall Drive and Everett Mall Way and travels west along Everett Mall Way to Evergreen Way.

From there the procession will turn north and go northbound on Evergreen Way, continue through 41st street and north on Rucker into downtown. Once in downtown Everett various elements of the procession will break off and take differing routes to Angel of the Winds Arena. The procession is expected to last about an hour and will significantly impact traffic.

For those looking to view the full procession the best spots would be along Everett Mall Way, Evergreen Way and Rucker prior to Pacific Avenue.

There will be significant impacts to traffic in Everett, especially in the downtown corridor. Here are the details of downtown street closures so far,

Expect street closures and traffic delays on Monday, April 4 for the memorial service for Officer Dan Rocha. The memorial will be held on Monday, April 4 at 1 p.m. at, Angel of the Winds Arena located at 2000 Hewitt Ave, Everett WA 98201. The service will be open to the public and the doors open at noon.

A procession will precede Officer Rocha’s memorial service. The procession will significantly affect traffic along its path from approximately 10:30 a.m. until approximately noon. Road closures around the arena will also be in place on Sunday, April 3 and Monday, April 4.

The procession will start at 1302 SE Everett Mall Way shortly after 11 a.m. and will travel westbound on SE Everett Mall Way to Evergreen Way. It will then travel northbound on Evergreen Way and stay on northbound Rucker Avenue until it reaches downtown. Once downtown, various parts of the procession will break off into different downtown streets, heading to the Angel of the Winds Arena.

If the community would like to show their support, we encourage them to line the streets along SE Everett Mall Way, Evergreen Way, and Rucker Ave.

Monday, April 4 starting at 8 a.m.:

Wall Street closed between Broadway Avenue and McDougall Avenue
Hewitt Avenue closed between Wetmore Avenue and Broadway
Rockefeller Avenue closed between Wall Street and California Avenue
Oakes Avenue closed between Wall Street and California Avenue
2700 block of Oakes Avenue closed
2800 block of Lombard Avenue closed
