Deputies Make Arrest In Shooting On 128th

Editor’s Update 1:30 PM: Here’s the release out this afternoon from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
– On Tuesday, Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives arrested a 22-year-old Everett man for the March 6 murder of a 31-year-old Everett man. The suspect shot the victim at approximately 1:38 a.m. while a separate altercation with numerous bar patrons was occurring in the parking lot outside of 128th Billiards on Sunday, March 6.

Detectives do not believe the suspect and victim were known to each other prior to the incident. The 22-year-old suspect was arrested Tuesday at a job site in Everett. He was transported and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for first-degree murder.

The 22-year-old suspect had his initial court appearance today and was held on first-degree murder. A judge set his bail at $1 million.

This is an active investigation.

On March 6th 31-year-old Damien A. Navarro of Everett, WA was killed in a shooting in the 600 block of 128th street SW in unincorporated Snohomish County south of the Everett city limits.

Since that time Major Crimes detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s office have been investigating and reviewing videos taken by a crowd who was in the area at the time of the shooting and following up numerous tips.

Yesterday detectives with SCSO arrested a 22-year-old Everett man and booked him into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of murder. He’s expected to make a first appearance this afternoon in Everett District Court.
