Another Pedestrian Killed On Evergreen Way In South Everett

Editor’s Update 1:30 PM: Spoke with Everett Police Public Information Officer Kerby Duncan who says the incident on Evergreen involved a victim who was in his 80s. Detectives are reviewing video and speaking with witnesses and the driver of the vehicle involved to try and determine how the victim got into the roadway. The driver of the car involved is in his 70s and is cooperating with detectives. Duncan says at this point it does not appear to involve criminal charges and detectives continue to try and determine the dynamics of the incident.

The southbound lanes of Evergreen are closed at 100th.

The incident happened in the 10100 block of Evergreen Way.

This morning Traffic Safety Detectives with the police department in Everett, Washington are on the scene of a fatality on Evergreen Way at 101st.

All southbound lanes of Evergreen Way are closed between 100th and SE Everett Mall Way.

Reports came in around 6:15 AM of a pedestrian down in the roadway.

Everett Police and Fire personnel responded and attempted life-saving measures which were unsuccessful.

Evergreen Way in south Everett has seen a number of fatal and serious injury encounters involving both vehicles and pedestrians over the past few years.
