DUI Suspect Makes It Too Easy For Everett Police

February 3, 2022

Police Blotter

It’s just never smart to drink and drive and these two examples from Sunday provided by Everett Police couldn’t make that point any clearer.

Double DUI arrests on Sunday!
The first DUI arrest made it easy and came to us on Sunday morning. At approximately 2 a.m. Officers observe a vehicle pull into the alley behind our Police Precinct. They watched as the vehicle slowly backed into one of our employee parking spots and almost struck the Police building.

Officers contacted the driver of the vehicle, who seemed confused as to why police were at the Police Precinct and when he rolled down his window officers could easily smell the alcohol. After a long chat with multiple officers, the driver agreed to exit his vehicle and was taken into custody for DUI.

The second Sunday DUI was initially located in the drive through to a fast-food restaurant. Employees called concerned about a drunk driver that was yelling and threatening them. When officers arrived at the fast-food restaurant the driver in question sees the officers and then backs out of the drive through and flees in his vehicle.

Officers located the vehicle a short time later which was now abandoned. Officers were able to determine who the owner of the car was and convinced him to come meet with them. When speaking to our officers the owner admits to driving to the fast-food restaurant and is highly intoxicated. He was then arrested and booked for DUI.
Please do not drink and drive, it makes you a danger to everyone else on the road and it impairs your decision-making ability to the point where you might accidently drive yourself to the police station.
Thank you to our patrol officers for their endless hard work to keep our roads safe!
