Suspect In Custody After South Everett Shooting Leaves Man In Critical Condition

7:30 PM update: The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail late Monday afternoon and will make a court appearance tomorrow at a probable cause hearing. He was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm, 1st degree assault and malicious mischief. No word at this hour on the condition of the shooting victim.

Everett Polie Major Crimes Detectives are looking into the circumstances surrounding a shooting this morning at an apartment complex in the 10700 block of Evergreen Way.

Everett Police Public Information Officer Kerby Duncan tells MyEverettNews.com around 9:20 this morning a woman called 911 reporting her boyfriend had been shot. Multiple officers responded and found the woman outside of an apartment. She said the victim was still in the apartment with the person who shot him.

Everett Police entered the apartment and found the victim and suspect. The victim was rushed to a medic unit and transported to Providence Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Duncan says the suspect was detained by patrol officers and at this writing detectives are working through what happened. We’ll provide more information as it becomes available.
