Editor’s Update Sunday 01/16/22 5:00 PM: Everett Police just posted the following correction to their original release:
Charging update: The owner is charged with 2 counts of rape in the second degree and 8 counts of indecent liberties. This is a correction from the original charges of 10 counts of rape in the second degree.
Original report January 14th:Here’s a press release out Friday night at 6:20 PM from the Everett Police Department following up on the arrest of an owner at the Anchor Pub in Everett, Washington.
The owner was originally arrested in October 2021 for several sexual assaults that are alleged to have occurred over the past several years. In most of these incidents, male and female victims reported going to the Anchor Pub, having a few drinks, and then blacking out. Upon waking up, the victims believed they had been sexually assaulted.
Since the original arrest, the owner was released on bail while awaiting charges to be filed. Everett Police detectives have continued to work the case and more victims, both men and women, have come forward with reports of similar events.

In November, Special Assault Unit detectives served a search warrant on the suspect’s house and the Anchor Pub. The search recovered evidence that linked the owner to numerous other sexual assaults both in Everett and in Washington County, Oregon. Based on information gathered through this ongoing investigation, the Snohomish County Superior Court charged the owner with 10 counts of rape in the second degree and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Everett Police had evidence for an additional 9 counts of sex crimes, but those were not able to be charged due to the statute of limitations expiring or some cases needing additional information.

Everett police detectives subsequently arrested and booked the pub owner into Snohomish County Jail.

Detectives continue investigating reports of sexual assaults against the owner and believe there may be other male and female victims both here in Everett and in Washington County, Oregon. Detectives are also looking into reports of a second male suspect.

Anyone with information about these crimes, or who has been victimized in past incidents, is asked to call the Everett Police Department Tip Line at 425-257-8450 or Washington County, Oregon’s tip line at 503-846-2700.
