While great to look at Sky Lanterns are considered too dangerous and not allowed in Everett.

Today Everett Fire posted a note on their social media pages reminding all that while fireworks are allowed in some areas on New Year’s Eve, fireworks are not allowed in Everett, Washington to celebrate the New Year.

Everett Municipal Code prohibits the possession and/or discharge of fireworks, to include sparklers and Sky Lanterns, within city limits.

To report fireworks, please call Snohomish 911 dispatch non-emergency line 425-407-3999. Save calling 911 for reporting of fires or actual in progress emergencies.
