UPDATE on City operations:
– Crews continue to plow, sand and salt around the clock following the snow and ice removal plan at everettwa.gov/snow.

With these very cold temperatures, it will take some time to break up the compact snow and ice to be cleared completely. Thank you for your patience!

– Since Sunday morning, they have plowed 2,876 miles and applied 969 cubic yards of sand/salt.
– Please call the Public Works 24/7 dispatch line to share road condition observations about specific locations within Everett City limits: 425-257-8821. Crews respond to service requests as time, resources and call load allows.
– City Clerk’s Office: Open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 12/28 and 12/29.
– Everett Municipal Court: All matters scheduled for jury call at 8:30 a.m. on 12/27 will be carried to 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 12/28.
– Everett Parks: Kasch Park fields and both golf courses remain closed until the snow is gone.
– Everett Transit: All routes are operating normally
– Cold weather shelters and warming centers can be found here: https://bit.ly/3yXPsro
– Best to avoid driving today if you can, but if you have to head out, check road conditions before you go and give yourself plenty of time: everettwa.gov/trafficcams

Here is the update on garbage and recycling collection from Rubatino.
UPDATE – 12/28/21 WITH TEMPERATURES STAYING BELOW FREEZING WITH ICE AND SNOW, WE WILL NOT BE PROVIDING RESIDENTIAL OR RECYCLE SERVICES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK. WE WILL TAKE DOUBLE FOR YOU ON YOUR NEXT SCHEDULED SERVICE DAY. WE APOLOGIZE SINCERELY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE.
WE WILL PROVIDE COMMERCIAL, MULTI-FAMILY AND ROLL-OFF SERVICES TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY AT THIS TIME AS ROAD CONDITIONS ALLOW.
SAFETY OF OUR DRIVERS, OUR CUSTOMERS AND THE PUBLIC IS PARAMOUNT.

There is still a lot of compact snow and ice on the roads. Bridges and elevated roadways may have black ice. If you really can avoid driving that’s still the best idea. You may also want to check on neighbors if it is safe to do so. We’ll update as more new information comes our way. LD
