7:15 PM Update in from EvCC and WSU Everett:
Due to weather conditions, all EvCC and WSU Everett operations will be conducted virtually/online Dec. 29-30. Employees with teleworking capability should work remotely. All EvCC offices, the Library, college Bookstore, and WSU Everett will be closed for in-person services.
10:00 AM: Here is the latest from the City of Everett, Washington.
With these very cold temperatures, it will take some time to break up the compact snow and ice to be cleared completely. Thank you for your patience!
Here is the update on garbage and recycling collection from Rubatino.
UPDATE – 12/28/21 WITH TEMPERATURES STAYING BELOW FREEZING WITH ICE AND SNOW, WE WILL NOT BE PROVIDING RESIDENTIAL OR RECYCLE SERVICES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK. WE WILL TAKE DOUBLE FOR YOU ON YOUR NEXT SCHEDULED SERVICE DAY. WE APOLOGIZE SINCERELY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE.
WE WILL PROVIDE COMMERCIAL, MULTI-FAMILY AND ROLL-OFF SERVICES TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY AT THIS TIME AS ROAD CONDITIONS ALLOW.
SAFETY OF OUR DRIVERS, OUR CUSTOMERS AND THE PUBLIC IS PARAMOUNT.
There is still a lot of compact snow and ice on the roads. Bridges and elevated roadways may have black ice. If you really can avoid driving that’s still the best idea. You may also want to check on neighbors if it is safe to do so. We’ll update as more new information comes our way. LD
